I never thought I would ever see 12.5” inches of snow in Dallas, TX, it was magical waking up Thursday morning and seeing such a thick blanket of pure, sparkling, white snow covering the neighborhood. I went a bit crazy on the picture taking, and everyone went a big crazy on the snowman building. There were snowmen in the middle of the islands on the streets and almost in every yard. It was crazy, but it was awesome.
Although we did have to cancel our bible study last week because of the surprise winter storm, it was a gift in disguise because it gave us another week to dig deeper into study the first chapter of 1John. I thought I had already dug out a lot of information and my little net was overflowing with treasure. But this week, God continued to fill and expand it and by his grace alone my mind and heart aren’t exploding yet from all the pressure of His revealed beauty. Have you ever found yourself there? Each day I would see the same verse from a different perspective and it was new all over again. I get so excited when He reveals something to me that I have to share it. Some things are just too beautiful to keep to yourself and enjoy alone like a beautiful sunrise or sunset or a Dallas, TX morning covered in pure, white snow. You have to call everyone you know and tell them to look out their window. You have to take as many pictures as you can to try and capture the beauty before it flees. It’s almost as if your joy is incomplete until it is shared by someone else.
Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good…– Psa. 34:8
