At last count at http://technorati.com there were 112.8 million active blogs, with 175 thousand new blogs created everyday.

So why another blog? This is almost the same question as, why write another book? What do you have to say that has not already been said in the millions of books that have already been published?

Many strive for uniqueness, but I am not unique and I don’t have anything new to say or anything new to add to the vast knowledge in the world. My voice is not different. My blog probably doesn’t even say what has already been said any better, any wittier or any clearer then many of the blogs that already exist.

So why another blog if I don’t have anything new to add to the millions of other voices out there?

I can only come up with one valid reason. Reinforcement. My blog is yet another witness to the validity of the truth of the same message of the gospel that many other blogs proclaim. The message never changes. It is just handed down as is and passed on.  I am just another messenger, another witness, another light in the world assuming my position and raising my hand.

• I too am a Christian
• I too have experienced the saving grace and miracle of the gospel.
• I too testify that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born in the flesh who died for the sins of the world, mine included. (John 1:14, John 1:29)
• I too testify that Christ has risen and because He lives forever, one day I will too. (John 3:36, John 11:26, Matt. 28:6, 2 Tim. 2:8)
• I too testify that  my own life has miraculously been changed by Him and that I know Him.
• I too testify that I have been reconciled to God the Father through the death and resurrection of Jesus  and now enjoy fellowship with them both through the Holy Spirit . (John 17:3,  1 John 1:3)
• I too testify that  there is nothing special about me, but the offer and opportunity to know Jesus, to be reconciled to God by having your sins forgiven is by grace alone and open to anyone who believes on Him. (John 1:12, John 3:16-18, Romans 5:10, 2 Cor. 5:18-20)

I am just another witness, shining my light, filling my place in the night sky in order to glorify God and guide others towards him by shining the light he has freely given me from the position he has placed me in.

I may be just another blog, just another voice, just another star in the sky among millions of others but I am humbled to be counted as one and stand among them.

May God be glorified through my feeble offerings and multiply them.
